Red Theater

      The Tianqiao in old Beijing is the birthplace of folk art. Writer Shu Yi once said, "Old Beijingers all know that Tianqiao has acrobatics, which is the hometown of acrobatics in Beijing." The Wansheng Theater, located in the current Tianqiao Performing Arts District of Beijing, is also a famous acrobatic performance venue in Beijing. From April 3rd to 10th, the musical "Soaring Up" produced by the Beijing Acrobatics Troupe was staged here, establishing a connection between this ancient theater and musicals, and also seeking aesthetic points that match modern audiences for acrobatics, a traditional skill that symbolizes old Tianqiao and old Beijing.
